Lavender Home Apart-Hotel

We booked and paid for two nights, but on arriving late in the evening, we were told our room was unavailable and offered a complimentary suite upgrade. That sounded good at first. The suite was filthy, though, and after we complained we waited until the middle of the night for it to be cleaned. Even afterward it still looked disgusting, as the photos show. We decided to leave the next morning, but they refused to refund what we had paid, including the second night. The hotel manager supposedly wasn’t there when I asked to speak with him. I got his number and called, only to hear his phone ringing in the next room. He rejected the call and wouldn’t talk to us. Cheeky. I can’t recommend this place.

Fadel, Ali, and Khalil at reception were especially helpful, and check-in was quick. From the warm welcome until the end of our stay, we felt looked after. The staff in general were amazingly service minded. Best hotel and hotel staff in Lebanon! I’m so grateful for their help. Thank you.

I ended up extending my stay after arriving on May 2, 2022, and leaving on May 4. In all my years traveling to Lebanon, I haven’t found a more hospitable, clean hotel in Hamra. The staff were pleasant any time of day and really wanted us to have a good stay. Rooms are spacious, clean, and stocked with the amenities you need. Having electricity and hot water around the clock is a big plus. I’d recommend it to solo travelers, couples, and families.

The photos make this hotel look good, but the actual stay was the worst I’ve had. We spent a week in a two-bedroom suite. The staff didn’t seem friendly or glad to welcome us, and the sheets and pillowcases weren’t clean enough. The cleaner they sent seemed like they needed cleaning themselves. Rooms were cleaned only every two days, and only if you called and kept insisting. The internet didn’t work, and whenever we asked reception, they blamed the provider, even though it worked elsewhere in the area. I’d never stay here again, even if it were free.
