I was worried after reading the reviews, but decided to see for myself. The location is excellent, and for Beirut, Lebanon, the noise level was excellent too, though it’s quite different from Canada. The room was above average and met Canadian standards for me, even if it wasn’t a five star hotel. The sheets were brand new, and there was always electricity and hot water. It’s very good value compared with other hotels for people coming from overseas who want to stay two weeks to a month without spending too much. The staff were pleasant to deal with at any hour, and I’d rate them five stars. I’m picky about details, so trust me when I say it’s a good place.

The people working here are the heart of the place. They were fantastic and helpful, and made our time in Beirut easier. It’s near the popular, lively Hamra street. I was satisfied and would definitely recommend it to travelers who want an inexpensive place to sleep near popular areas and aren’t looking for luxury.

We asked a couple of times, but during our five days there the room was never cleaned and the sheets weren’t changed. The only good part was the staff: Merallah,Hana,Ahmad and the other guy. This was my worst experience ever. I won’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

The breakfast was very poor, and we found insects in the room. The mattresses were full of bedbugs, and the rooms were very dirty. Be careful before booking, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The friendly staff were the one positive thing about this hotel. The rooms have bedbugs, the mattresses aren’t comfortable, and I couldn’t sleep well. Room service only comes when requested, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
