Old Bridge

There was no elevator, the balcony sliding door was broken, and the room was dirty, with broken appliances and old discarded furniture. There wasn't even any soap. At least the hot water and wall heaters worked, so the room stayed warm. The river sounded nice, the old bridge was neat, and the Syrian helper was kind.

This isn't a review, it's a message for Tony at Old Bridge. When it's snowing outside, give guests more than an hour of heating. If you charge $25 for a pack of wood, don't hand over green wood soaked with water. And please return people's belongings when they come back for them. Keeping them makes it seem like you're stealing from guests. People pay to enjoy their stay and their day, and you should make sure they can do that instead of taking their money and leaving. Don't reserve there. My rating is zero.

The location and view were the only good parts. With three floors and no elevator, old furniture, dirty rooms, and bedclothes that looked dirty and unchanged, the stay was very poor. The heater kept switching on and off, and the owner seemed deceitful. I don't recommend it.
