The woodwork and chalet-style decor made the place feel warm and full of character. We love wood, so we really enjoyed all those details. The restaurant was nearly empty when we came to Auberge Le Valais for my birthday, during a very cold spell in Faraya between seasons. Snow season had already ended and there was no snow left. I imagine it feels quite different in snowy weather or in summer, when there's the fireplace in winter or outdoor seating in summer. We really liked the Lebanese food, and most of the dishes were delicious. The meat at the end of the meal was the one disappointment, as it didn't meet our expectations. Better-quality meat could make the experience even nicer. I've heard Auberge Le Valais is especially known for its fondue, but we didn't get to try it this time. I'd like to come back and try it, then share an honest review. I'd also love another visit in the snowy season, with the mountain scenery and fireplace lit. The cozy atmosphere and tasty Lebanese food are worth recommending.

The kids' playground didn't live up to its name. The plastic slide was broken, and the trampoline was crowded with 10 kids at once, wearing shoes and eating, with nobody supervising. We came as a family on Sunday hoping for cheese fondue, only to find they serve Lebanese food only that day. You can find that cuisine everywhere, so the long drive wasn't worth it. There was no information anywhere saying Sundays were Lebanese food only. I wouldn't recommend it.

The view is really nice, and it's a cozy restaurant with alright food and okay prices. We paid with a 100$ bill, but they wouldn't take it because of a really small tear. Apart from that, we had a good experience.

We were 12 people ordering fondue, but they brought just one basket with 10 pieces of bread. Then we had to beg for another 15 minutes to get more. The fondue came as a pot of cheese with nothing to eat it with, and the burners didn't work properly, so it all burned before we could eat it. The waiters and management were rude, and when we complained, management brushed us off with, “but the food did come down on the table didn’t it”. It was an awful meal and I'm writing this to save the next people. This is the worst restaurant I've eaten at in Lebanon. One star is generous.

Auberge Le Valais RESTAURANT in Faraya is gorgeous, all wood inside and very much like Switzerland. I had the fondue and my friend had beef, both were really good. We loved the restaurant and highly recommend it!
