It’s a great beach in a medium resort. The sand is clean and there are lots of sandy stretches, with warm water and no pebbles. The pool was clean and its surroundings are lovely. The beach area staff serving drinks were overwhelmed, very slow, and unprofessional. The public facilities felt old and sometimes dirty, especially the bathrooms and changing area. The main fish restaurant was closed, so we had lunch at the other one. The food was disappointing for a resort like this, with a bad taste, and I felt food safety was at the limit.

The team made planning my proposal at Laguava Resort easy. They were professional and incredibly helpful, and everything went smoothly, beyond what we expected. The seaside setup was beautiful and the atmosphere felt magical. It was perfect for the occasion and gave us memories we won’t forget. Highly recommend it for special occasions.

The pool is nice, and the beach was clean and beautiful. Those were the best parts of Laguava for us. The restaurant menu is limited, and we found a hair in our fattoush, which really put us off. The toilets weren’t clean either. Cocktails cost $18 but came in plastic cups, and at a $30 entrance fee, towels by the pool still cost extra. For a beach resort at this price, that’s disappointing. There’s potential here, but the service needs to be much better for what you pay. Right now the value just isn’t there.

After paying $30 at the entrance, we expected at least some peace of mind, but they seemed more concerned about the money than our experience. We had our own towels, but they said only their towels could be used, and those cost another $2. Otherwise, we’d have to sit on the beach or grass. When we ordered a bottle of water, they also warned us that we’d have to pay on the spot each time we ordered anything. Enjoy!

The place itself is charming, with palm trees, boho-style decor, a large enjoyable pool, and a great spot right by the sea with 24/7 security. The jacuzzi was nice, though old. We stayed two nights in a Sea View Bungalow at La Guava Resort. The bungalows are cozy, but their bathrooms urgently need renovation. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach. I understand it may be seasonal, but basic maintenance could have improved things. There are little stands selling ice cream and matcha or frozen tea, yet the restaurant menu has no desserts. Service was the weakest part. On the first morning, a simple breakfast of labneh, cheese, omelette, and vegetables took 45 minutes. Lunch took an hour and came with cold pizza, cold fries, and stale carrots with the beer. They didn’t provide plates. At dinner, an avocado dip took 35 minutes, and the truffle burger was disappointing in taste and quality. The second breakfast was worse. We ordered at 9:30 a.m. and it arrived at 11:30, after repeated calls. We canceled our plan to stay longer and checked out. When I told the reservation person not to bring the food and that we wouldn’t extend, they ignored us. The receptionist asked how breakfast was, but said nothing when I explained it had taken two hours. It felt like these problems happen often and the team either can’t or won’t improve. At $350 a night, I expected top-class service. Management seems to lack basic hospitality training. The owners should invest in proper hotel and restaurant management courses for staff and managers. Until things change, bring your own food if you visit. The location is beautiful, but the service ruins the stay.
