All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing. I stayed at Sandals Halcyon for my honeymoon and was blown away. The local night was a highlight, with stations for trying local food and seeing art. I'd recommend it. Jean Eve made the trip especially memorable. We met on our third day, and he felt like a friend for the rest of our stay. He went above and beyond, even finding us on the morning we left to say goodbye. It was those little things that made our time there extra special.

We felt safe and relaxed the whole time, knowing help was there whenever we needed it. We spent 3 nights at Halcyon, with visits to Grande, and 2 nights at La Toc. Halcyon was just right for us, and by far the best of the three Sandals for service and relaxation, even though it's the smallest. VITO & WILLARD were the best. Arrival went smoothly: we were greeted with a song, got restaurant reservations for the week promptly, and were shown to our Butler Elite Suite. Suite 119 was on the East Side, near the beach and main pool, but far enough away that we couldn't hear the music and events there. The room stayed clean and well maintained, and booking excursions was easy. Food choices were standard, but the mix suited us. A few things to know: the road trip from the airport to Sandals Halcyon takes 1.5 hours. They offer transport, though we booked private transportation. Reserve restaurants right away, whether at this resort or any of the Sandals resorts at St. Lucia. And book a spot at the beach every morning 🙂🏝️🍹

The staff are what make Halcyon feel personal. They were warm, attentive, and gracious, and every interaction felt genuine. Meals were a treat, from casual lunches by the sea to romantic dinners over the water. The food was vibrant, the presentation and service elegant, and even the cocktails seemed better with the ocean breeze. This is a peaceful resort, with pristine pools and a lovely beachfront that seems made for afternoon naps. The intimate beach felt quiet and unhurried, and the whole place has a balanced, serene atmosphere. Sandals Halcyon Beach may not suit you if you want high energy and constant noise. But for serenity, romance, and beauty that makes you stop mid-sentence to take it in, it's pure magic. We left feeling lighter and already dreaming of a return. 💛

Sandals Halcyon Beach looks beautiful, but our stay felt like a chore instead of a holiday. We experienced poor communication and a lack of hospitality from the moment we landed, and much of the service felt unprofessional. The airport drive took about 90 minutes through traffic, and it was dark by the time we arrived. Our first meal, at Taste of St. Lucia, was average at best, so I wouldn't choose it as the first meal of a stay. The next morning, the computer systems were down when we tried to book dinner. A staff member wrote down our choices and promised to call our room to confirm, but no call came. When we checked the following day, the requests were missing and several preferred times were already full. It felt like our information had been thrown away. Service at meals was frustrating. Coffee offered at the breakfast buffet never arrived, and neither did our second round of drinks at dinner, so I had to get them myself at a nearby bar. At Kelly’s Dockside we waited more than an hour and a half for food without seeing our waitress, then gave up and left. We later ordered two cheeseburgers through room service and received just one. Around the lazy river and pool, staff were often dismissive. Bartenders sometimes finished personal conversations for several minutes before acknowledging guests. When I asked for a drink with Crown Royal, I was told it was out. Asked whether more was coming, the bartender gave a rude, lazy “I don't know.” I walked ten minutes to the front lobby to speak to a manager before the bar was restocked. We avoided the beach. Local vendors are allowed on the sand and, every day, pressured us hard to buy trinkets. It didn't feel like the relaxing, private experience you'd expect from a high-end resort. I don't know whether not tipping contributes to the indifference, but staff generally acted as though guests were a nuisance. The week felt like being at the DMV. There are plenty of beautiful islands and good all-inclusive resorts, and I wouldn't settle for this level of unprofessionalism again. I won't return to Sandals, and I've told friends and family to look elsewhere. Sincerely, Scott & Stacey Crain
