The cozy feel and friendly, attentive staff made a good impression, and the food was delicious. I live nearby, and with an empty fridge I decided on a spontaneous solo dinner the evening the Mühle had just reopened. The menu wasn’t really suited to that kind of quick meal. Given the building’s history and the Vaduz resident surveys, I’d expected moderate prices and more traditional home cooking. Then again, apparently eating alone in a restaurant is something people do in cities, not Liechtenstein. Fair enough ;-) They made me schnitzel and fries when I asked, and I understand it’ll be added to the menu as they expand it. I think that’s a good idea. It would be nice if one person could have a main course, without drinks, for around CHF 27-32 instead of CHF 50. The nearby Forum in Schaan already works well for what I’m looking for. The place could become a real neighborhood draw in the evenings. I’m still surprised Vaduz’s gourmet restaurant scene has reached the north of town too. I doubt many University of Liechtenstein students will be dining at the mill in the evening. I’ll try the lunch menu next time, which is probably more my thing. No second review from me, though. Wishing them continued success, and giving them 4 out of 5 Californian Google stars. This is my first Google review, and it turned out long!
