Solas Surf

The hosts Anosha, Francesco and Jane, the friendly dog, created such a cozy, personal atmosphere. The rest of the staff were warm, sociable and thoughtful too. We felt at home, and the stay went beyond what we expected. Our sea-facing room was spacious and beautiful, and we were welcomed with a tasty drink and a hot towel. The homemade fresh food was amazing. We tried almost the whole menu and loved every dish. We also did all the activities, yoga, Muay Thai and surfing, and enjoyed them all. The instructors were friendly, patient and skilled. A wonderful stay at Solas Surf, truly five stars!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hope we can come back soon ❤️

We spent five nights here and loved it. The shared living room is great, and the lawns look out over the ocean. Our room was spacious and clean, with a massive shared balcony. Breakfast was simple, healthy and tasty, a perfect start to the day. The hosts and staff were all really nice and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here.

The people here are what make the place feel like home. The owners are kind, the staff are attentive, and Francesco teaches lovely yoga classes in the garden shalla. Jane the dog gives you unconditional love, too. It's a quiet spot even though restaurants and shops are conveniently close. You can sleep to the sound of waves without the traffic noise you get in other places. The architecture is impressive, breakfast is good, Wi-Fi works well enough for remote work, and there's easy beach access along with a private garden. The beach is probably the best nearby for swimming, with soft sand and no rocks. It felt like a luxury beach home, and was easily our best stay in Sri Lanka. If I come back, this is where I'd return.

Anosha made everyone feel cared for, and the whole team were lovely and always smiling. I loved the warm, clean water on the beach right in front, the ocean sounds, the food, which was really, really stellar, and the yin yoga each evening. Such a dreamy place, and so hard to leave. I hope I get to return.
