A quiet, relaxing homestay on the outskirts of Midigama, close to the beach and nicely placed between Ahangama and Weligama. There are lots of good cafes and restaurants nearby. The owner is friendly, and you get your own space without much social chit chat. I’d recommend it if you mainly want peace and time to unwind.

We stayed here on and off for six weeks and loved it. Asila and his family are caring and lovely, and the house has some comfortable spots to rest. The rooms are simple but comfy. You’re close to the beach and restaurants, while still away from the road. The railway is nearby, though, so you won’t need an alarm to get up early for a surf.

Everything was perfect, and the host was so friendly. We absolutely loved staying here!

The accommodation was nice, but the puppy Ruby was kept on a very short chain all day and night. When she barked at night, they hit her. She had little stimulation while we were there, apart from when we stopped to sit with her. If you stay, please give Ruby some affection.

Our double room had its own bathroom, a mosquito net, and a fan, everything we needed for warm nights. Calm Rest is only three minutes from the ocean, and because it’s away from the main road, we slept without car noise. We spent seven relaxing days there. Cela and his family are wonderful, always ready to listen and help and make guests feel comfortable. I recommend staying here.
