Villas Gabrielle

The peaceful setting is right in the middle of nature, though the beach and main road are still close by. We had a fabulous stay with family or friends in mind. The villas are beautifully decorated, with really comfortable beds, quiet and effective AC and fans, and a clean outdoor bathroom. Each morning the cook made delicious local fruit, different pancakes, juice and eggs for breakfast. We also had dinner with prawns and lobster cooked in banana leaves.

We loved relaxing in the garden at Villas Gabrielle. It’s surrounded by jungle and close enough to the beach, but away from the noise and bustle. The housekeeper and his team were fantastic, so friendly and helpful, and they cooked delicious food. We’d happily return.

Our family of four stayed at Villa Gabrielle in April 2022, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The host looked after everything we needed, from tasty meals and advice on places to visit to help arranging transport. We really liked the beautiful decor and quiet setting, just a five minute tuk tuk ride from the main beach road. It was great value for our short stay, with privacy while still being close enough to get around the main towns easily. I’d definitely recommend it.

We’ve stayed here twice already and will surely come back. The villa sits high in the hills among lush greenery, only a few minutes’ drive from some of Sri Lanka’s best surf spots. It’s very quiet and private inside the secure compound, with a huge private pool tucked beneath the jungle canopy. The private chef and service team were incredible and took care of every wish. The food was so good, I wanted to bring the chef home with me. A truly memorable experience, and well worth trying.
