Zen House

Zen House felt like a private sanctuary, surrounded by lush greenery and tucked away from the busy streets and main road. It was calm and secluded, but still easy to get to. The place is peaceful and beautiful, the service was amazing, and we think it's one of the best places we've stayed. It's hard to imagine a better spot for a relaxing holiday. We'll definitely return and would recommend Zen House to anyone looking for tranquility, comfort, and warm hospitality.

We've stayed in around four villas in Ahangama so far, and this one stood out by far. The rooms were tastefully done and had just the right amount of space for our family of four. The pool worked well for kids and adults, and Ahangama town is close enough to walk to. The staff were incredibly hospitable and helpful, and the food they made was so good and much more reasonably priced than at other places. The property itself is beautiful. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. I can't say enough about how amazing our stay was.

We stayed five nights at this gorgeous little gem. It's a beautiful oasis set back from Ahanghama, with lots of good local restaurants within walking distance. The staff were polite and friendly, and it really did feel zen. Very good value.

We spent four nights at Zenhouse in Ahangama, and it was a highlight of our beautiful month in Sri Lanka. The team gave us a warm welcome and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Kate, the owner, was kind and helpful, and the boys were a delight. The service was impeccable and always came with a smile. It's a gorgeous, peaceful slice of paradise, and you feel the zen as soon as you arrive. The pool is beautiful, the gardens are well tended, and the yoga shala is nicely shaded for early morning practice. Our pool room was lovely, with plenty of space, and the bathroom was big, airy, and well designed. The food was incredible. We chose half board and had some of our best meals of the trip at dinner. The chef is exceptional, and I highly recommend the food. The only real problem was that we didn't want to leave, and we very much look forward to coming back. Renting the whole place with a group of friends sounds like total bliss. I can't recommend Zenhouse enough!
