The riverside setting, right at the edge of the water, made lunch at Resort Sun and Moon especially enjoyable. Service was polite and welcoming, from reception through to the dining area. Both the receptionist and restaurant steward were friendly and attentive. They don't have a bar yet, but you can bring your own drinks without a corkage charge, which is a nice advantage. We ordered chicken biriyani, black pork curry and seafood fried rice, and every dish was delicious. The biriyani stood out for its rich, authentic masala and great flavor. There's a good choice of dishes on the menu, and the prices are reasonable for the portions and quality. A relaxed, enjoyable meal, highly recommended.

The food is delicious, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. A lovely spot along the Bentota River, which connects beautifully to the sea.

We came for lunch on a company outing with about 200 people, and the resort handled it really well. The meal was set up in the main ballroom, laid out very nicely, and the food tasted good. Service was pleasant, and the manager kept an eye on everything to make sure it went smoothly. We were very happy with the whole experience.
