Greenparrot-Villa

We had such a wonderful Christmas stay at Green Parrot Villa that we already booked for this year's Christmas. The four of us, Maria, Katrin, Tanja and Klara, can't wait to come back. Sudath checked in on us almost daily and helped plan trips and excursions, with advice and local expertise we really appreciated. Rowan and Manju took us by Tuk Tuk into Ambalangoda in just a few minutes. Shopping there was an adventure, with fresh fruit shops, bakeries and all kinds of small markets. Rowan became our tour guide, showing us little places away from the tourist spots and sharing his extensive knowledge of the area. Supun drove us on a day trip into the highlands. His patience and kindness stood out; he showed us places of interest and explained things so well. We stopped for lunch at a very authentic restaurant, and, as a family man, he helped us learn more about Sri Lanka's people and culture. The villa itself is beautiful, with high ceilings, spacious clean rooms and bathrooms, a well-kept garden, an amazing clean pool and a gorgeous ocean view. There's a fully equipped kitchen and fridge, though we didn't use them. In the mornings, Isha and Nisansala prepared fresh, tasty breakfasts at the time we chose and went out of their way to meet our needs. We ate at a restaurant only once, since the home-cooked dinners were outstanding, made with fresh ingredients and love. Isha and Nisansala are charming, sweet and very polite. The staff respected our privacy, and the girls cleaned the rooms and bathrooms whenever we asked. Dana took care of outdoor chores, the pool and the beach. He lives in the villa, just outside the lockable doors, so we felt reassured knowing someone was always nearby. He's funny and polite, answered our questions and went above and beyond to make the stay great. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by Sudath (owner), Isha, Nisansala and Dana. A huge thanks to them for making the vacation so special and unforgettable. Sending all our love from Austria until we're back soon ❤️

Best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka, and we'd love to come back. The people were so friendly, and there was an option to eat in-house, with really delicious food. Definitely a 10/10!

Mr. Sudath is the best host in the world. He was incredibly kind and helped get us some worthwhile things for really cheap, more than 800% cheaper than as a local. He got them for himself so he could give them to us. The place has direct beach access, a clean pool and breakfast included, a royal breakfast. Lunch and dinner are available on request, and he can organize whole tours around Sri Lanka. Highly recommended.

Dananjaya and Isha made us feel at home with their warm, attentive hosting. They really went above and beyond, and the food was delicious at every meal. The villa was spotless, including the beautiful, well-maintained pool. It's a little outside the center, but getting into town is easy, just a five-minute Tuk Tuk ride. We had an amazing stay, highly recommend it, and would love to return. Thanks, Dananjaya & Isha, for making it so special!
