A and D Holiday Inn

For 4000/= we had a clean room for one night, with working AC, a decent bathroom, soap and towels, though we had to ask for the amenities. The owner was very friendly, and there’s an iron and board in the shared area. One thing to check beforehand: tea isn’t provided. They said we could make it in the kitchen, but I understood we’d need to bring the ingredients, so you might miss out on a nice morning cup otherwise. The TV was there, but no channels were active. Prices seemed fair, and it was a good stay overall. I can recommend it.

The owner was very helpful and clearly focused on guests. The place was neat, with rooms and amenities kept in excellent shape. For what you pay, it’s really worth it, and the care put into keeping the rooms clean was almost at a 5 star level. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay, and the owner was friendly and helped us with several things even before we arrived. The rooms were spacious, clean, and better than I expected for the price. It’s a peaceful place a little away from the town center, with a beautiful lake nearby and a few snack bars and restaurants around. I’d recommend it.

A&D Holiday Inn is about 1km from the Anuradhapura new town bus stand, and Kumbichchankulama Wewa is close enough to reach on foot. There’s a kids park nearby with a walking track around the tank, plus several food outlets. The children’s park area usually gets busy by evening.
