As a travel agency owner, I was disappointed by how our visit went. My clients had booked the whole property because of the space and positive reviews, but my assistant and I were not allowed to stay overnight. The couple running the hotel gave several reasons that didn't convince us, then asked us for extra money. When we said no, they offered their storage room for us to sleep in. We had to leave late at night and look for somewhere else to stay. Hospitality should mean making guests feel welcome and cared for, but that wasn't our experience here. I question the quality of service at a place that disregards those basic principles. I'd advise fellow travellers and travel professionals to avoid it.

The location was amazing, and it was super quiet with very good facilities. The pool was great, and the staff were good too. Good value for money if you're travelling as a group. 10/10, I'd recommend it.

The property is at least 4 km from the main road, in a reserve forest far off Sigiria. The stay and service were good, and the food was tasty and high quality. The tea we had over two days was good too. Hats off to the lady staff member who cooked and served us. Lion rock, a major tourist attraction, is about 12-13 km away. There's an Ayurvedic massage parlour on the main road, and lake and elephant safaris are nearby. You can also take a safari to see an Asian village if you've never seen one. One thing to keep in mind: there was no hot water for bathing, so that could be an issue if you only bathe with hot water.

Such a calm, friendly place for tourists from anywhere. The atmosphere was great, the setting beautiful, and the staff were great too. A lovely spot to stay and enjoy your vacation. 5 stars.
