Reliance Resort

We ended up moving somewhere else after the caretaker arrived. I'd told them the previous day we'd be there in the morning, around 10:30am, but when we got there at 1.00pm, nobody was at the resort. The owner said on the phone that the caretaker had gone out and they'd expected us at 3.00pm. The caretaker told us where the key was and asked us to wait 30 minutes until he came back 😅 The rooms hadn't been prepared, and the place wasn't clean. There were glasses with half-drunk juice left at reception. They wasted around 2 hours of our journey.

The charges are very low, and the place is reliable and free of charge. It's clean and hospitable, and the food is delicious. They look after you like you're visiting relatives. I think it suits families or anyone travelling with small children especially well. I was very happy ...........

The owners were kind, friendly, and attentive, and the service was good. It's a quiet, clean and comfortable place, about a 10 minute drive from Anuradhapura town. The prices are reasonable, the food tastes good, and I also noticed they were making further improvements.

We stayed for two nights, and the owner and his wife took care of what we needed without delay. The food was fresh and delicious, and they charge a nominal amount for it. It's worth arranging meals at the hotel, since you can't get this best price at any restaurant in Anuradhapura town. Just give them your menu ahead of time so they have a while to prepare it fresh. The hotel is on a main road, has plenty of parking, and Google Maps gets you there. From there, it's easy to reach Anuradhapura's historic places quickly. I highly recommend it and will stay here again on my next visit.
