Mahinda, the caretaker, was attentive when we left early for pooja at Ruwanweli Seya. We mentioned that my husband's 92-year-old mother might find the walk difficult, and he asked what they could prepare for her to have when she woke up. That kind of care meant a lot. We booked two rooms, and the staff thoughtfully gave us the one with the fewest steps for her. They welcomed us warmly and were flexible. The towels, bedspreads, pillows and covers were cleaner than I’d expect even at a five-star hotel. IVY LAKE is close to all the important places, including Anuradhapura town. We highly recommend it to newcomers and to anyone who has stayed elsewhere so far. We’d happily return and recommend it.

The young man at reception was friendly and accommodating, and the service was great. This is a small, affordable hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and washrooms, along with basic amenities, fresh towels and linens, and comfortable beds. I didn’t order food from the hotel, so I can’t comment on it. There were a few cockroaches in the washroom and some mosquitoes in the room, which were the only drawbacks. A good option if you’re after a clean, comfortable place at a reasonable price.

A comfortable, well-equipped and very affordable hotel for a short stay in Anuradhapura. The staff are friendly, and the modern bathroom was clean. Breakfast at Hudo Lounge was generous and delicious.

The stay was okay, and the room itself was tidy and clean. The bathroom door seemed swollen or imperfect and was loose, so it wouldn’t close or lock properly. They let us use the main kitchen to prepare our kiri ahara, but there wasn’t a separate kitchen area for guests.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean and nice, with useful things like AC, a mini fridge, hot water and items for making morning tea. Good value for money. Bikes and bicycles are available to rent at a reasonable price. One suggestion: provide helmets for the bicycles.
