Even though we had let them know when we’d arrive, the commode still wasn’t clean. The sinks and toilet were dirty too, and the washrooms were disappointing. There wasn’t a mirror or cupboard in the room.

Getting around Arugam Bay is easy if you rent a bike, though it feels a bit far without one. The owners were so sweet and helpful, and the accommodation was really nice. Great value for the money.

The rooms were clean and there’s free water to refill. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you’re heading to the A-Bay area, I’d stay here instead of in the main town. The locals are lovely, and food and other prices are a lot lower.

You can reach Arugam Bay by walking along the beach, and local restaurants are cheap. The place is right on the beach. I also had the lovely surprise of bumping into friends there.
