Arne's Place The Friendliest Hotel

The atmosphere at Arnes Place is perfect, and the place itself is beautiful. The beach is just a few steps away, and the rooms are clean and nice. Haleem was very kind and helpful. I had a fantastic time, thank you so much. I’ll recommend Arnes Place to my friends. If you’re going to Arugam Bay, you have to go there. See you soon!

I’m still waiting for the €30 deposit I paid when I booked. The hostel cancelled the reservation, not me, and after several attempts to sort it out I’ve had neither a refund nor a satisfactory reply. They gave no valid reason for cancelling, and staff weren’t helpful when I asked what had happened. The whole thing felt very unprofessional and has seriously damaged my trust in the place. A cancelled booking with no explanation and an unreturned deposit makes the booking process seem unreliable. I’d be cautious about reserving here.

We spent a couple of nights at Arne's Place with friends. It’s very close to the beach, the rooms were clean, and the AC worked well. They also let us add another night, which was great. But I was upset by how an animal was treated: a tiny kitten was quietly eating rubbish off the floor when a woman working there hit it hard with a broom. Really sad to see.

The vibe at Arne's place was relaxed, and the rooms had everything we needed. It’s also just a short distance from the beach. I really enjoyed staying there.
