Deens cabanas

There were lots of restaurants and bars nearby, and the property was about ten minutes or less from the beach and a short stroll from the centre of arugam bar. The staff were helpful and found us a scooter at a very reasonable price, so I’d stay here again. Our room was really big, and so was the bathroom, which had a good shower. Breakfast was good too, with omelette and toast on some days and pancakes with a banana smoothie on another. Small frogs kept getting into the bathroom. We kept the door shut, and they weren’t much trouble since they mostly stayed near the top of the tiles. One made it into the bedroom once. A staff member came to put them outside when we told him, though they were back a couple of hours later. It wasn’t the property’s fault, and by the end we’d grown fond of our little pets :)

The cabanas are roomy enough for four people, and it’s about a seven-minute walk to the beach. We had a pleasant stay, with friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was included, simple but good. We also ate dinner there twice, both times Sri Lankan curries, nicely prepared and reasonably priced. I’d recommend it to people visiting arugam Bay.

The two guys were friendly and keen to help, and the food was fresh, tasty and cheap. A very nice place, with clean bungalows.

The place itself is good, but the room facilities are only average. Guest communication and meal service could use some improvement.
