Sound Sleep Resort

Faz was really friendly and helpful, and we had a wonderful time here. The resort is brand new, so the rooms were great, though he's still planning a few finishing touches, like thicker curtains since the room gets a bit bright. Service is still new too. We didn't mind, and when things like extra toilet rolls or tea were missed, they were quickly sorted. Highly recommend it, it was much better than the other resorts we looked at.

I stayed five nights and loved how comfortable the place was. The rooms are huge and completely new, the beds feel like clouds, the air conditioning works perfectly, and the bathrooms are super clean. The photos don't really show how good it is. The team were welcoming, friendly, and helpful with everything, from arranging my trips to and from Colombo to surfing while I was there and their reliable tuk tuk driver. I was feeling lazy, and they made everything easy. It's just a minute's walk to the beach. The hotel is on the Main Street, but at the quieter end, which I thought was great. A 5-10 minute stroll takes you to the restaurants, shops, and bars in the heart of things, then you can come back to a peaceful spot after a hot day of surfing and safari-ing. Highly recommend this unique new boutique hotel, and I hope it has a bright future.

Really lovely spot in Arugam bay. The rooms are new and very clean, and the staff are wonderful and helpful. For the price, it seems like better value than places closer to the center, and it's still just a short walk away.
