The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the AC was quiet and worked well. The hosts were pleasant and helpful, and the food was good. We had a group booking for six and enjoyed our stay at Tropicana Homestay. Our room was in the old block, though, with no hot water or fridge and only limited access to power points. It was also on the main road, so there was some traffic noise. The location is great, but the room cost twice as much as comparable rooms nearby. I raised that with the owner, but he wouldn’t negotiate, which was disappointing. Thank you.

Jazz and his family were very friendly, and breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. We had a wonderful stay at the Tropicana Home Stay, and I’d definitely recommend it for a visit to Arugam Bay.

The rooms were clean and spacious, with a lovely little garden, and this local family business really made our stay. They were honest and helpful, and we enjoyed spending time with the family. They also arranged everything we needed, from surfboards and taxi rides to great food. It was such a wonderful experience, and I’d absolutely come back.

The owner brought everyone together at night to play cards, and his wife even made us a delicious meal. The atmosphere was really friendly. I’d recommend going on safari with his friend, who was eager to find the leopard, and we did see one. Thanks for everything, Jazz. Hope to see you again! It’s a very nice place close to the beach. The superior rooms are big, bright, and have AC.
