We were in town for a tennis tournament at the Tennis Club, an easy walk from the bungalow, and stayed with family. It’s a small, cozy place that’s well kept, with very clean, nicely decorated rooms. The chef and caretaker were pleasant and Brett helpful. The food was amazing, especially the biriyani, naan and paneer butter masala. We did have a few issues with water pressure and hot water availability, though nothing major. The owners were lovely, often stopping by to check on guests and doing their best to meet requests.

This is a great place to stay in Bandarawela, only a few minutes’ walk from the main town. There are four rooms, so it works well for a group. The staff and cook are flexible and focused on service. Rooms and washrooms were clean, and the in-house food and coffee were really yummy. They’ll prepare food on request, and it’s tasty and reasonably priced.

Dr.Sanderson and Alex were so supportive throughout our stay. It’s a lovely, cozy place, with beautiful colonial interiors that make you feel at home. The food was great, everything was clean, and the staff were really friendly and flexible. Highly recommend this little place.

Justin and his kitchen colleagues made us feel at home with their wonderful service. They prepared a mouthwatering homemade dinner and breakfast. Mount Pleasant Bungalow is a worthwhile option right in the middle of Bandarawela city, just 1 minute from the main road. Heartfelt thanks to Justin, the team and management for maintaining the standards and providing such consistently classy hospitality.
