The hosts were the best part of our stay. We spent our first two nights of the trip with this wonderful couple, had great conversations, and learned a lot about Sri Lanka. It was lovely to see their pride in their country, culture, and family. They kept helping us even after we left, when we ran into difficulties. The accommodation is a little outside the center, beside a park, so it’s quiet and beautifully situated. Getting to the central areas by public bus was easy, affordable, and relaxed. We arrived very early and could check in sooner than expected. They also helped us book buses, even calling the service provider to find the best option because the bus and train system can be confusing at first. Breakfast was very good too. We’d come back without hesitation.

The room was comfortable, with a super king-sized bed and clean linen. The en suite was roomy and clean, too. We stayed one night because we needed to reach the Department of Immigration early, and the walk there suited us perfectly. Our host was helpful and flexible with our late arrival and early departure, and even lent me a phone charger. There’s covered parking for two cars, plus plenty of roadside parking since the property is at the end of the street.

The owner made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and parking was easy. We booked the family room at Star Class Comfort for one night in the capital, and found it spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely, cozy feel throughout the homestay. The dinner area was a nice spot to relax after a long day. Thanks to the owners for the warm welcome and pleasant stay. We’d be happy to come back.

We never felt awkward with the owners living in the house too. It’s a big place with lots of rooms, close to Water’s Edge Hotel.

The interiors are nicely designed, and it’s a quiet, safe setting to spend time with family. The host is helpful and informative, especially for people going to the Immigration & Emigration Office. A few things could use more attention, like homemade breakfast, a play area for kids, front desk management, and parking. I’d recommend it for business trips.
