We had a calm stay in pleasant surroundings, with a clean garden and lots of nearby places to visit, especially if you like waterfalls. Getting there by vehicle was no problem. The owner was super agile and well organized, which made our arrival easy, and the caretaker was the same. The bathrooms had hot water and modern facilities. There’s no air conditioning, but do we need it? We expected mosquitoes and didn’t get any, perhaps because they had a vaporizer. There were some bugs in the beds, which we didn’t like. There was no WiFi available at the eco lodge, perhaps a router needs to be turned on. We didn’t get to use it. I’m happy with the atmosphere, service and surroundings, and thought it was great value for money. Wish to visit again.

A calm place with easy access to Pahanthudawa waterfall, Samanala Tank and Dam, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and Bambarakanda Water fall. Mr.Dias, the caretaker, was incredibly supportive and always helpful. Great place to visit.

Mr Dias knows the local places to visit, so you can ask him if you’re not sure where to go. The food was splendid, and he’s an amazing cook. The rooms were clean and up to standard, and the bathrooms were well maintained with nothing to complain about. Our stay at belpeak cottage was better than expected. Mr Jayantha kindly let us visit early in the morning and leave our luggage, even though check-in was at 11 AM. Mr Dias(Cook) greeted us early and made tea for us too. Highly recommended!

Surrounded by mountains, waterfalls and natural streams, Belpeak is a great spot to enjoy a healthy meal of sri lankan cuisine. It’s at one of Sri Lanka’s top travel destinations and is one of the best places I’ve been. I’d recommend Belpeak to anyone who loves nature, food and adventure.

You can book ahead with a small prebooking charge, and it’s worth the money. They can arrange space for 10 people comfortably, with two rooms in one Bangalow and two in another. It’s low cost with good facilities compared with other places near Belihuloya. There’s an open lobby and dining area, plus a small play area where you can have fun with the kids or play badminton. You can use the kitchen for your needs, with a small charge. The Bangalow keeper is very kind and will help whenever needed. He can also prepare meals if you give him the groceries.
