The people were friendly, and it's a lovely place for a holiday, with a nice pool and wellness centres. There are places of worship and entertainment nearby, too. It's easy to reach from Colombo via the highway, and sits between Beruwala and Aluthgama. The rooms are comfortable and have washrooms and other facilities, plus free Wi-Fi. A good spot to rest and relax.

The back gate felt unsafe at night. Several aggressive dogs would block the way and eventually chase you. I also had a payment issue: they intended to charge me 1000 extra using what they called their conversion rate. Staff weren't always pleasant, especially with basic manners and payment. The room was dirty, with long hairs in the bathroom, and very basic, old, and expensive for what you get. They didn't provide drinking water or toiletries. There's a fridge, but to plug it in you have to move it into the bathroom yourself. The shower handle was broken, with bits and pieces left for you to repair it. The bed was two mattresses stacked together, and I woke up with back pain. Breakfast was nothing special. I expected more of a German standard and was truly disappointed. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place.

The rooms were well maintained, and the staff were friendly. It has a cozy, charming atmosphere and is conveniently placed for getting to local attractions. I had a pleasant stay.

The atmosphere reminded me of my grandma's estate, with a lovely feeling of being free from worry. We arrived in the first week of Dec and had the whole gorgeous, quiet, relaxing place to ourselves, apart from one other guest.
