Artisan Villa Colombo

Out of the whole two-week trip, this was the nicest room. It was quiet, with a pleasant bathroom, comfy pillows, warm lighting, and no mold. The birds singing made waking up nicer. The receptionist was lovely and spoke English well. There were beautiful plants in the garden and flowers floating in the pool. I’d recommend it completely ✨

The exterior looks lovely, but the rooms didn't match the photos, so we wouldn't recommend staying here. The bathroom was clogged, the bed was uncomfortable, and they didn't even provide a proper blanket. It’s no surprise they ask for payment upfront.

My sister and I had booked two nights, but transport problems meant we got there at 2 am. We’d told the manager, and she said that was fine. At the property they made us pay in advance, which seemed odd at that hour. Five minutes in the room was enough for us to want to leave. There were roaches, the AC didn’t work, and every surface had a layer of dust. The smell of mold and damp was overpowering. This place felt like a huge scam. We booked before reading the reviews, which now seem too kind. It’s a shame the property managers are using such a gorgeous building to take people’s hard-earned money. The photos can speak for themselves. Do not stay here.

The only good part was eventually getting our money back. After a long discussion and showing that it wasn’t the room we’d booked on booking, the manager canceled our stay and refunded us. We had to leave at 22:30 and find somewhere else to sleep that night. We’d hoped to enjoy the modernist architecture, garden, and pool, but instead faced a lot of stress and a room below an acceptable standard. Be careful with the “non-refundable” room option. I can’t recommend this hotel.
