Drop Inn Colombo

I slept really well here. The bed was clean, the air conditioner worked perfectly, and everything was clean, especially the bathroom, which was comfortable too. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. For the service and quality, the price is very reasonable. A good Colombo hotel if you’re travelling alone.

I’d happily stay here again. The prices are very reasonable, and the whole place has a relaxed, welcoming feel, with a pretty courtyard and garden out front that make a nice shared dining and hangout space. It’s easy to meet people without things getting too hectic. Both the dorm and the private room I stayed in for a few nights were clean and comfortable. The bedrooms had working A/C, the washrooms were well kept, and the hostel café had a good range of food, juices and coffee. The location is convenient, and the staff were positive and welcoming. Beenu at reception was especially kind, friendly and helpful throughout. Five stars to the team.

The staff were really nice and the food was great, but the hostel has bedbugs. After two nights I had over 40 bites, and I couldn’t sleep because I kept getting woken up by them. When I told the staff, they seemed to already know there was an issue and quickly offered me a refund. The place has potential, but that was awful.

Wow, such an amazing stay. This is the cleanest hostel I’ve ever been to, with spotless washrooms and bathrooms. Just keep in mind that in summer the six-bed dorm can get hot: there’s only one AC, and the beds are covered.
