Fern Colombo

The on-site restaurant is worth a recommendation. The food was very good and one of the highlights of my stay. The staff were amazing too, going out of their way to help me throughout. The property feels dated and could use maintenance and modernization. My room door handle was broken, which made locking and unlocking it quite difficult. With some touch-ups and updates, this place could be top-tier, since the service is already there.

The hotel and its location are nice, and the hotel itself is okay. But the staff's behavior was ridiculous. Yesterday, I ordered food to my room and was busy doing something, so I asked the staff member to give me a little time to find my card to pay. He stayed in my room instead of leaving, and I had to ask him to go out. It felt like strange snooping. They also knocked on my bedroom door and partially opened it to ask a question. Who does that? I left one of my sanitary products by the sink, called them to sort it out, and they said it was gone, even though it should have been there. The staff have a lot to work on.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the service was good. The staff at fern bnb Hotel were all very friendly and attentive, making for a very nice, hassle-free stay. A special thanks to Aazil, who was cooperative, helpful, and always ready to guide me with a smile. I recommend this hotel for a pleasant visit.

We spent two days here, though we were only in the room at night, so I can't say how the other amenities like housekeeping were. The rooms were clean and the location was great. Our toilet leaked, but otherwise things were fine. There's a restaurant downstairs, and they kindly sent our order up as room service. Good value for money if you need a base in Colombo.
