Maniumpathy

Breakfast was so good that we also ate dinner at the hotel, and those meals were delicious too. After days exploring different corners of this amazing city, it was just what we wanted. We stayed three nights at Manuimpathy, choosing bed and breakfast. The rooms are beautiful and look onto a carefully designed, well-kept garden courtyard. The boutique hotel’s team were friendly, welcoming and professional, and went out of their way to help. We’ll stay at Maniumpathy again on our next trip to Colombo.

We used Maniumpathy at the start of our tour around the country, and it was a classy, nearly faultless base in Colombo. The staff were charming and personally attentive, and they handled every request. The food was exceptionally good too. Try the thali or Sri Lankan breakfast in the restaurant, and don’t miss a cocktail at the tucked-away bar. It’s a beautiful former Sri Lankan colonial home, now a quiet, understated five-star oasis in the smartest part of town. We’ll stay here again when we return, without question.

A calm, classy little boutique hotel, with seven rooms set around a courtyard. We stayed two nights at the beginning of our holiday. The room was spacious and comfortable, and both the food and service were excellent. Highly recommended.

The stay was comfortable thanks to excellent lodging facilities, and the atmosphere was every bit as impressive as the food. The crabs, eggs Benedict waffle and chicken oats kanji were especially good, full of flavor and nicely presented. I’ve stayed at several Colombo hotels, and this one really stands out. Highly recommended.
