Mini's Residence

We came for a room and left having made a friend. Eranda and his parents made this such a lovely place to begin and end our Sri Lanka trip. The room was great, with AC and a comfy bed, and breakfast was delicious. Kind, welcoming people, and the stay was affordable. We’ll definitely be back 🙏🚘

We felt so comfortable and safe that we came back twice, on separate visits. The place has plenty of character, including an impressive music collection, and the breakfast was delicious. It’s clean and comfortable, with kind, courteous staff, and easy on the budget. A tuktuk gets you to the city centre, while the location also makes it easy to explore residential streets, shops, and restaurants. Would absolutely recommend it.

Eranda was the best part of staying at Mini’s Residence. He was kind, helpful, and accommodating, and his English was very good. He even mailed a book I’d left behind to one of my other accommodations in Sri Lanka. During our stay, he took my daughter and me along on several outings, including a walk in the park at Independence Square and a visit to the organic market. He also adjusted breakfast to suit us, which was a nice introduction to Sinhalese cuisine. The room is simple but has what you need, including AC, which is handy in the Colombo heat. There isn’t much to do nearby, though the major sights are easy and cheap to reach by TukTuk, especially with the Pick Me app.

The owner and his parents were all so friendly to me. My room was cozy and comfortable, with AC and a bed fitted with mosquito nets that helped keep the mosquitoes away. The bathroom was clean and well looked after. I had a wonderful time at Mini’s Residence and would definitely recommend a stay here.
