Rococo Residence

We spent three days here as a family in 2017 and had an amazing time. The rooftop pool was a lovely bonus, and the staff were really friendly. We especially loved having breakfast served in the room. I'd definitely recommend the place.

We only stopped for a couple of drinks, but the rooftop bar's 360-degree city view was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had Chinese food, and the warm cashews with spicy garlic were delicious.

The location is the one good thing here. We booked the place for a party and confirmed in advance that music, pool access, and our guest count were all approved by management. At check-in the room had a horrible smell, probably from a blocked toilet. It was unbearable, though the receptionist dealt with it after we complained. The pool was another problem: the website said residents had access, but it was only open from 8 AM to 3 PM, while check-in starts at 2 PM. That leaves guests barely any time to use it. We were repeatedly complained to about music, despite having cleared it beforehand, and one security guard was especially difficult. We kept the music inside the apartment the whole time. Security also stopped us and objected to our group size after midnight, even though management had already approved it. Other guests seemed able to come and go freely. Food service took too long, and what arrived was dry and well below what we expected. The mixed messages between management and staff left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. A stay that could have been pleasant became stressful, and everything apart from the location fell short.

It's a great spot for a peaceful, slow moment, with a really good vibe. Regular portions are enough for at least three people. The staff are super friendly, and beer is a better pick since the cocktails are a bit overpriced. Parking can be a bit of a hassle. It's less crowded than it used to be after management changes, and there are more foreign visitors around now.
