The Residence

For a short visit, this was a great stay. Imran and Imdad were accommodating and very helpful, the rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was good. The Colombo location is convenient too. I'd recommend staying here.

The entrance was hard to find, especially arriving at night, when we worried we had the wrong place. Once inside, we found good service, well-stocked bathrooms, and complimentary snacks in the room, a thoughtful touch. Our rooms were spotless, though a little cramped. There are plenty of places to eat just outside, the shore is one street away, and there's a bus stop almost opposite. Security is solid, but it can be a hassle if, like us, you have rooms on different floors. You can't move between floors directly; you have to go back down to the ground floor each time, and the guard's card key is needed to go back up. The Muslim property management can also help if you're looking for mosques or halal food.

We spent 10 days here for an event, and the room was comfortable for three people. The view over Marine Drive was surreal, and the location made it easy to reach Colombo's main areas. Facilities were on point, and whenever we needed something, staff responded quickly. There was a problem with our room, but the team, especially Imran, sorted it out within a day. Everyone was kind and helpful before, during, and after our stay. The comfort, facilities, location, and price were all amazing. I'd highly recommend it for a short or long trip.

Safety mattered a lot since I was traveling alone, and that was the biggest plus of my stay at the Residence last March. It's right in the middle of the city, so getting around was easy. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. I'll definitely stay again when I travel to Colombo.
