My Holiday Ticket

The location worked well for us, close to the water, and an Uber into the city was fairly cheap and took around 20-30 minutes. Staff were brilliant and arranged a late checkout around our train, so we could change and use the bathroom before leaving. The boss was less pleasant: he said we’d booked a room without AC, which wasn’t true, then offered an AC room as an “upgrade.” That room was small, the toilet leaked across the bathroom floor, and the nearby rooftop bar made it a bit noisy. The AC quit overnight, so we had to switch rooms again. Our last room had more space and was quieter at the back of the hotel. A decent budget option.

I was shocked by all the positive reviews. I expected something much better, but my stay was a nightmare. I was meant to get the luxury room, yet the sheets were dirty, there was a bad smell, and the bathroom heater dripped. I could have put up with that for a few hours before my early flight, but the room was noisy: I heard people in the next room using the bathroom, and some kind of water generator switched on every few minutes with a loud noise. Then I saw a large lizard run along the wall twice, making a strange sound, and checked out at 1:00 am to find somewhere else. Reception refused to move me and only looked in the room, saying there was nothing there. This place was awful. Don’t be fooled by the location.

Such a treat in a small package. Even the budget rooms were well lit, and we had AC, hot water, complimentary water and coffee, extra towels and sheets, and spare pillows. Khanna, the front desk manager, was very helpful. We arrived late, and he stayed up to check whether we needed anything after we got into our room. Highly recommended.

A good, affordable place for a few nights, with a supermarket, restaurants, and malls close by. The room was clean, though a little cramped. For the price, it’s a very good hotel and suits budget travel.
