Pearl Royal Hotel

I’m sharing what happened during my stay so other guests can make an informed choice. Check-in was delayed by about 20 minutes because the staff couldn’t find my Agoda booking, even though it was valid and confirmed. The room didn’t fully match the listing photos and description. It was advertised with a queen bed, but actually had two single beds pushed together with one mattress on top. I also found stained bed linen, a towel that looked used, and unclean glasses, sink, and mirror. There was a persistent damp smell and visible mold on parts of the wall. The curtains and a pillowcase were visibly damaged. There were maintenance problems as well: one lamp didn’t work and another was loose, one window wouldn’t close properly, and a baseboard was partly detached. The refrigerator mentioned in the listing wasn’t in the room. After I raised these concerns, the hotel offered to move me. The alternative room was somewhat better, but still had similar issues. This is my personal account of the stay. I recommend checking recent reviews and photos carefully before booking.

The rooms are pretty decent, and it’s a reasonably priced hotel with attractions all within a 5 km radius. Keshan, Ashva, Madhushan, and Mr.roshan were especially respectful toward guests. I loved their hospitality and gestures. The AC quality needs improvement. Dr.chandan INDIA

A hidden surprise. I came here for the first time to meet friends for dinner, and the cafe’s atmosphere, food choices, and attentive service were excellent. They’ve got a great rooftop spot too.

We spent two nights here a week ago, and the service was exceptional. There’s an adjoining cafe with a nice range of drinks. Heshan was a gem, attentive to our requests and knowledgeable about the area. His tips on places to visit and what to choose from the menu were right on the mark. The visit was well worth it.
