The staff were super friendly and made us feel a bit more at home, and the home-cooked sri lankan food they served was delicious. There was hot water in the shower, and the room had lovely furniture and a gorgeous bed. But the house didn’t look as nice as the photos suggested. The bathroom was a little dirty and poorly kept: water ran onto the floor from under the shower, the toilet seat didn’t match, there was mould on the sink, and the walls had a yellow tint. The blanket and bed cover were stained, and only two of the nine lights worked. The cold LED light made the room feel rather uncomfortable. It’s about 3.8 km from Nuwaraeliya city centre, in a small village, though public buses are easy to reach.

We arrived in the evening to find only one guy there to attend to us, and he didn’t know English. Our driver was meant to drop us and leave, but the locality and service seemed strange to him, so he spoke with the guy in their local language about our food and other arrangements. The most shocking part was that they advertised serving food, but actually had none. We canceled our reservation right away. A terrible experience.

The property was bought by a new owner in 2021, and the service they provided was excellent. The rooms were clean, and they had good hot water. An excellent place for a family stay.

What a waste of money. The place smelled awful, the room wasn’t clean, and the bathroom was stinky. There was no soap. Worst place ever.
