Sayura House

We stayed at Sayura House for four nights with our two kids, and the friendly, welcoming staff made us feel very comfortable. Roshane deserves a special thanks for serving the food with such care and kindness. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we really enjoyed the delicious, well-prepared breakfast. It’s also well located for getting to the sea and nearby Colombo attractions. I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing stay.

The hotel team were a huge help when we ran into flight issues today. They were capable and supportive, and that care really stood out. The rooms were clean and lovely too, making for a comfortable stay. At the restaurant, the staff were consistently kind, attentive and accommodating. The food was outstanding, especially the Sri Lanka Pizza, a unique, delicious dish I wouldn’t have ordered without the waiter’s recommendation. I’d wholeheartedly recommend both the restaurant and the accommodation.

We appreciated that a staff member offered to arrange breakfast for our early flight, and they confirmed it three more times. But the breakfast wasn’t ready the next morning, so we had to travel to the airport without food. The room itself was fine. Since then, our attempts to reach them through Booking, email and WhatsApp have been ignored. They keep saying they’ve resolved the issue, which isn’t true. We wanted an apology and reimbursement for the breakfast cost. Instead, I’m left feeling they don’t respect their customers. I’ve never had such poor service, and I’d never recommend this hotel. If they make a mistake, you won’t get compensation.

Dinner under the trees in the stunning garden was splendid, and the food was really great. The hotel is beautifully designed and appointed, with clean rooms that have everything you need. It’s in a great location, and getting around is easy by all kinds of transport. The friendly staff are happy to accommodate where they can. It’s clearly a family-run place, and it has that feel. Highly recommended.
