The hotel is right on the water, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to Kollupitiya station. The host was very helpful and arranged a better value room for us on arrival at the hotel’s expense. Service was exceptional, including letting us check in late and helping with local suggestions. The food recommendations were great and within walking distance. I’d love to stay again!

For the low price, it’s acceptable: the room had two bottles of water and a minibar fridge, and the bed was good for a night’s sleep in a private space. But bring earplugs. There’s a road and railroad right outside the window, the aircon is noisy, and you can hear the receptionist talking on the phone all night. The linen and towels weren’t dirty, but they weren’t perfectly white either and had spots. The blanket had obvious chocolate marks, and there were shoe footprints on the sheet. There’s a lot of noise.

The rooms were clean and it’s a good place, though a little noisy because of the nearby railway track and highway.
