Sheraton Colombo Hotel

The 21st-floor Club Lounge had a great range of hot and cold snacks, delicious desserts, and a breathtaking view. The food and drinks were consistently excellent, but it was the hospitality that stood out. The team made my husband and me feel comfortable and valued, always greeting us warmly and checking that everything was right. Sandali, Yohan, Gayantha, Kaveen, Saminda chef, and Ama Chef from the lounge Front Desk and F&B team deserve special mention. I stayed one night on 14 January 2026 using a redemption booking. Dasuni from reservations took great care of it, and, as a Titanium member, I was kindly upgraded to a spacious executive suite. I arrived early, around 9:00 AM, and Sanduni welcomed me warmly, invited me to wait in the Club Lounge, and followed up with housekeeping. The suite was ready around 12 noon. Its calming panoramic view of the city skyline, streets, and ocean was stunning, and the design was beautiful. Breakfast was offered as a welcome gift for my Titanium membership. Colombo Kitchen had an impressive range, with consistently friendly and attentive service. Saman, Nimasha, Jithya, Enethra, Nadun, Navodya, and Thenudi from F&B took wonderful care of me from arrival through the end of breakfast. It was a fantastic stay, and I'm already looking forward to coming back in January 2027.

The dinner buffet was excellent, and I highly recommend Sheraton Colombo for a business or leisure trip. The staff were polite, attentive, and professional, with a warm and efficient manner that made me feel welcome and cared for throughout my stay. The hotel is well located, beautifully designed, and comfortable. Its elegant, clean rooms made for a relaxing visit.

I loved the quiet, clean room, the comfortable bed, and the location. We arrived late and the Front Desk upgraded us to a higher floor, and complimentary bottled water was provided. But I'm not sure I'd return to Colombo and stay here, even though I liked the room. Service and food cleanliness matter a lot to me. My partner had serious digestive issues after the breakfast buffet. Be careful with the fresh juices. We suspect the ice may not have been made with filtered water. I was also disappointed about the birthday cake. I told the staff it was my partner's birthday, and they offered a small complimentary cake, but it never arrived and nobody explained why. I even emailed to ask what happened and got no reply. I'd been impressed by the glowing Trip Advisor and Google reviews, so the letdown was sharp. I was enjoying the stay before my partner got sick, but then the lack of sanitary best practices, especially for a Sheraton/Marriott brand, and the failure to follow through on the birthday offer soured it.

We had a lovely evening at the Sheraton dinner buffet. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the attentive, friendly staff made sure everyone was comfortable. There was something for everyone in the impressive selection, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The dessert selection and seafood corner were highlights.
