This feels like an old house turned into a homestay, run by very friendly people who gave us great recommendations. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but be aware that the steps are high and may be difficult for you or your travel companions. Room 1's bathroom is big and clean, though it needs a new toilet seat, the shower stains removed, and a better draining basin since the water drains too slowly. Breakfast was very nice, if a bit expensive. The rooms are very affordable, so I can't complain much. Neil was friendly to chat with, and the manager was even nicer to interact with.

Such a fantastic place to stay. We were welcomed with so much kindness and hospitality. The room felt authentic but still really cosy. A beautiful way to end our two weeks in Sri Lanka. We'll definitely come back 🤍

The staff were lovely and happy to accommodate us. They also offer hotel transfers, though we didn't use that service. The room was spacious and well furnished, and the bathroom was huge. The door didn't lock very well, which is one drawback, but safety wasn't a concern for us. Whether that bothers you may depend on what you're comfortable with. One suggestion: maybe skip the $60 transfer from Colombo to Galle. We ended up on an organized tour, and on top of that had to pay tickets for most of the sites. We wanted to avoid that because we had other places in mind. Next time, it might help to discuss the details before setting off.

The heritage hotel is beautiful and good value, with huge rooms, hot water, and such friendly, helpful staff. It felt like a little oasis away from the city's hustle and bustle. There's a very cheap bus into the city centre too. Thank you for a lovely stay, highly recommended.

The staff were warm and helpful, and my room was clean and comfortable. I only spent one night here, but felt safe during my stay. A pleasant, affordable place to sleep in Colombo, and I’d come back.
