Supun Arcade Residency

We confirmed the booking at night, but when we arrived to check in, the daytime receptionist said she knew nothing about it. She then quoted a different price and asked for a non-refundable deposit close to twice the amount we had agreed on. The lack of coordination between reception staff was deeply frustrating and felt unreliable and unprofessional. It left us with a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We spent two weeks here and would stay again next time we’re in Colombo. The sixth-floor sea view was lovely, and the apartment was huge and affordable, in a well-maintained block. Staff were very helpful, and daily room service and free internet were included. There’s a supermarket next door, plus a restaurant and pool. An Uber to the city centre was $4.

Stefan was especially attentive when we checked out, taking care of all our luggage and loading it into the van. The staff and service were wonderful throughout our stay at Supun Arcade Residency. We’d be happy to visit again.

A small lipstick mark on the bedsheet, which was clearly made by the kids, led to us being charged a large amount. The staff overcharged us instead of showing any understanding. We were travelling with two children, and the apartment was already deeply upsetting from the moment we walked in and found two used condom packets on the floor. The place was poorly maintained and very dirty. Cockroaches were in the apartment, on the balcony, and in the bathroom. The shower was damaged and hard to use, and used plates and utensils had been left unwashed. It was an uncomfortable, unpleasant stay, and I can’t recommend this property, especially to families with children. The hygiene and housekeeping were awful, and the staff’s handling of the charge felt completely unprofessional.
