The sea nearby gave the hotel a calm feel, and my room was cozy, clean, and had what I needed to relax. The whole place seemed well cared for. From arrival onward, the staff were warm and easy to approach, always willing to help. They paid attention to the little things and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I had a lovely stay at 50By Sea Hotel and would happily return. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay with friendly service.

The room and rooftop both had gorgeous views, and we really enjoyed the modern setup, especially the quick Wi-Fi and Smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, and Prime. Our suite was spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. We could hear trains passing because the railway is nearby, so it may bother someone who needs complete quiet. For us it was a small issue. We had a fantastic stay and would gladly recommend it.

We found plenty of Halal places to eat nearby, including a restaurant just downstairs, and the sea views from the rooms were beautiful. The rooms and bathrooms were roomy, clean, and nicely decorated. But the exchange rate caused a serious problem for us. We were billed 316 LKR per USD, though the bank rate was 309 LKR. We raised it with the hotel, but they wouldn't change the bill. During our 10 days traveling around Sri Lanka, no other hotel used such a high rate. It felt really unfair.

Shehara, the hotel manager, was easy to reach on whatsapp and gave useful advice about the area. I was also able to check in early, which I appreciated. The room had a great sea view, and the rooftop view was even better. My room and bathroom were hygienic and well maintained. The staff service could use some improvement, though. I'd highly recommend 50 by the Sea for either a short or long stay.

I spent two days at 50 By Sea and found it clean, safe, and really nice. The rooftop was lovely, and the service was good. I booked through booking.com and felt it was worth the price 🩷
