We got a warm welcome and checked in quickly. The guesthouse has a cosy feel, and our spacious room was clean and well maintained. Hot water and wifi were available right away, and there was a cattle in the room for making morning tea. We also appreciated having plenty of complimentary drinking water. It’s on a quiet back road but still right in central Fort Galle, with sights, restaurants, and shops a short walk away. There’s no food at the guesthouse, but plenty of nearby choices, including the small "Rampart Cafe" 100 m away, which is the cheapest option.

The location worked perfectly for us, on a quieter part of the fort but just 1 minute from an edge with gorgeous sunset walks. We had such a lovely stay at Fort Thari Inn that we extended for 2 extra nights. The host was welcoming and helpful, and the family-owned home really made us feel like part of the family. Our second-floor room was very clean and well designed, with a kettle and a small table and chairs. The bathroom had a separate shower, which was great. We could use the refrigerator for our water bottle and had access to filtered water too. Thank you to the family for a beautiful stay. We hope to come back!

Fort Thari Inn was peaceful and conveniently located, a good fit for either a short visit or a longer stay. The hospitality, cleanliness, and service were even better than I expected. My room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the friendly staff were always ready to help. I had a really pleasant, relaxing stay and would highly recommend it. Looking forward to visiting again!

The owner was so kind and attentive, always willing to help and making the stay feel welcoming and comfortable. Fort Thari Inn Galle is close to the main attractions in the fort area, and street parking is available and manageable.

A spacious room with a really comfortable bed and pillows, plus an incredibly warm and helpful host. Loved the quiet lane and ideal location within the Fort.
