The pool was just a pond and couldn’t be used for swimming, and the rooms were old, unclean, and poorly maintained. They looked nothing like the pictures on Booking.com, Google Maps, and Agoda, which showed a clean, luxurious stay. For the high price, the reality was a huge disappointment, more like a cheap short-time local hotel in Colombo. The photos are very misleading. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend booking it.

The room wasn’t cleaned properly, with dust hanging in clumps, and the balcony looked out onto a landfill. I had a very bad experience with the pool too. It was in poor condition and more like a baby pool, and the pictures they showed weren’t real. I also feel the owner cheated me over the room payment. I don’t recommend this place. Colombo and Mount Lavinia are polluted, and to reach the beach you have to go through the railway.

The staff were helpful, the facilities were good, and everything was very clean. There’s a range of restaurants nearby and the beach is about a hundred yards away. Wish we’d stayed another day.

The grounds are lovely, with a green lawn and a swimming pool, and the location is great. Breakfast was poor, though, with harmful margarine instead of butter.
