The Villa in Lavinia

The location made it easy to explore the area, and the clean, comfortable, well-maintained rooms gave us a relaxing place to unwind. I stayed at Lavinia Villa on the 6th and had a wonderful experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, and always ready to help. From arrival onward, their attentive service made me feel at home. I'd highly recommend Lavinia Villa to anyone after a cozy, hospitable stay. Their care for guests made my visit memorable.

My booking had been confirmed, and the property even messaged me on arrival day to ask when I would get there. I was on a plane and only saw the message after landing in Colombo. When I reached the hotel later that evening, two staff members, who I later learned worked in the kitchen, couldn't speak any English. They pointed at a computer and said, “canceled, no room!” I was left without a room at 8 pm and had no way to communicate with anyone. This wasn't how I imagined starting my trip to Sri Lanka. A very kind Sri Lankan guest staying there stepped in to translate, suggest a nearby hotel of similar standard, and negotiate reimbursement for the price difference so I could book elsewhere. Without him, I would have been stranded. The hotel's behavior was very unprofessional.

I really enjoyed my stay at Lavinia Villa. The rooms were very spacious, and they served a delicious breakfast. The staff were so helpful that they even cooked Srilanka lunch for me.

The owners welcomed us warmly as walk-ins. Minaj & Manheep gave excellent service and were so helpful, arranging whatever we asked for. The rooms were neat and the linen very clean, and we loved spending every evening on our balcony. There's a supermarket around the corner, and everything we needed was a couple of minutes' walk away. Lavinia villa!!! I love you guys. The new owners have only had the villa for 3 months and are already doing excellent work. Proficiat guys, we'll be back soon!
