The owners weren’t friendly, and the city area was inconvenient. The price didn’t match the quality at all. Furnishings were very modest, with just one chair, and the bed linen had holes. The room was only relatively clean, and the tea area was dirty. The shower water heater and kettle both didn’t work.

I’d check what else is available if I were looking for a place. I know everyone has off days and deserves a second chance, so keep that in mind. I called ahead to ask about early check-in. They said it wasn’t possible, but I could leave my bag, which was fair enough. I arrived after the standard 1pm check-in time, but the room still wasn’t ready, even though I’d called the day before. The housekeeper swept, mopped, and cleaned, which I appreciated, but there were still wet long hairs and his footprints on the damp floor.

The owner is really kind and wants you to feel good there. It should be good once the building reconstruction is done. It’s a low cost place, not five stars, so be ready for some issues, as you can get anywhere.

They double charged me and I lost 2500lkr. Be careful if booking through agoda or booking.com. Worst guest house experience ever, everyone be careful.

Please allow early check-in. The room and bathroom were clean, and the air conditioning worked well. Nice.
