We had such a lovely stay and would definitely come back. The hosts made us feel welcome, the house was spotless and well located, and the beds were really comfortable. There was warm water in the shower and free water too.

The room doesn't have AC, so it gets warm in the late afternoon, though mornings and evenings are fine with the good fans. The veranda stays cool. It's a convenient place for the beach and restaurants, and the beds are comfortable with good hot water.

The host was so helpful and made an incredible Sri Lankan breakfast. The room was spacious, had AC, and the shower was warm. Kottu, the dog, was the friendliest dog we've met. This local place is close to the beach and everything else in Hiriketiya, and staying here is a lovely way to get to know local people and get tips on things to do beyond the tourist spots. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was included, and the dhal curry with sides was delicious, as were the bananas and coffee or tea. The place is quiet but close to the beach, and evenings in the back garden with fireflies and a breeze through the trees were lovely. It's an annex to the sweetest family. Even the grandmother, though she knows only a little English, does everything to make you feel welcome. My son doesn't speak English but loved them all. There are three rooms, two in the same house, so booking those together would work perfectly for a family holiday. Highly recommended!
