We turned up without booking and stayed just one night. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were superb, and the place itself is beautiful. Breakfast had lots of variety, and the lunch we had the next day was tasty and good value. A great spot to relax, watch the sunset, and enjoy the beach right in front of the resort. Highly recommend!

The team made our stay wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and kind, and they did their best to look after us. We spent four nights here in a family room with our two kids at the end of our Sri Lanka trip, and it was an amazing way to finish. The hotel was calm and really clean, and the rooms were lovely and cool. We also loved the pool area, with umbrellas for shade and direct access to the beach. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of tasty options. Dickwella beach is quiet and long, perfect for a morning walk. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.

A quiet place right on the beach, with an easy walk or cheap tuk-tuk into Hiriketiya. The pool area was wonderfully relaxing, the room was roomy, and we really enjoyed breakfast. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast team. They also went above and beyond for us when we arrived for our honeymoon. Thanks, Ivory Resort!

Ivory Dickwella is a lovely hotel, though I’d keep the room layout and surroundings in mind when booking. Our room didn’t have a proper window. In the photos the door seemed to open onto a balcony, but it actually led to an interior courtyard and couldn’t be used. That was disappointing. Since it was our first visit, we hadn’t realised the hotel is in a less desirable part of Dickwella. We chose it for its closeness to Hiriketiya, but the street is chaotic, in an older area, and not good for walking with a child. That part isn’t the hotel’s fault. The hotel itself was very clean, the meals and breakfast were delicious, and staff were consistently smiling, polite, and extremely helpful. They were particularly warm and attentive with children, which we appreciated. The pool was clean and well maintained, and being right by the sea is a big plus.

The pool and beach view was lovely, with direct access to the beach from the pool. It’s close to the centre but away from the noisy area, too. This was one of our best hotels in Sri Lanka. Everyone on staff was lovely, from reception and the bar to the breakfast team, who were especially nice.
