Mazarine Surf Suites

The room and lobby have a nice view, but there's no TV. The bathroom glass is blurred, yet people can still see inside.

The location is a fair way from the main strip, so going back and forth was difficult. We were a group of six couples, and the hotel was in terrible shape after renovations: the pool wasn't working, bathroom drains were clogged and messy, balcony doors and lights were broken, and TVs were missing, broken, or hanging loose. The elevator was out of order too. Management knew about these issues but didn't tell us before we arrived. Instead, they lured us in with free breakfast and said they'd compensate us. After that, there was no communication. Some of us couldn't stay a second night and had to find another hotel. It was a horrible experience for all of us, and I strongly recommend against staying here if you're going to Hiriketiya for a good time. Mr. Ravi handled the situation and didn't come through. Abdul took the booking but wasn't responsive. Sakundala did as much as she could while on site, but Mr. Ravi made false promises to keep us there and take our money. The management has changed, and the business practices felt unethical and deceptive. Even if they gave it away for free, I'd never come back.

We had a comfortable stay at Mazarine Surf Suites, with friendly staff and delicious food. The beach is easy to reach for surfing or diving, and it's a great spot to relax by the ocean. Highly recommend it.

We booked online, then quickly found out there was no room for us and that we wouldn't get a refund. After an hour of going back and forth, the staff finally accommodated us. The owner was unpleasant and unwelcoming, and seemed more concerned about himself. He lives in London and appeared disconnected from the business. The entrance also had a pretty daunting feel. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.
