Tehan and his family made us feel well looked after, with their kindness, warm welcome, and readiness to help. That hospitality made a real difference, and I'd happily stay here again. The room was extremely clean and had hot water and air conditioning, so it was very comfortable. The location in Weligama is excellent, and the price makes it fantastic value. Tehan Homestay is a very good place to stay.
I had the family room to myself for one night, and it was just right. It was clean, comfortable, calm, and had everything I needed. Falling asleep to the waves was something special. The family at Tehan Homestay were fantastic, friendly and loving, and made me feel at home straight away. A beautiful experience, and I can highly recommend staying here.
My girlfriend and I were travelling on a budget and stayed here for 4 days. When we had food poison for 2 days, the family helped us so much. Their son drove us to the hospital and back, and brought us medicine without asking us to pay for it. They were so sweet about everything, and that meant a lot during those days. It's a perfect place if you're looking for something budget friendly. Thank you guys! I'd come back if I ever return to hirikeitya! ❤️❤️
I adored my three days at Tehan Homestay. Tehan was a great host and had a scooter available to rent. The place is right by Hiriketiya for surfing and tourism, and Blue Beach for a quieter, residential feel. Highly recommend if you want somewhere simple.
It's a great location and a good price, but be ready to rough it if you stay here. Before booking, I saw reviews mentioning bugs and small critters in the rooms, and they weren't wrong. A mouse came into my room through the shower drain, and there were poo droppings.
